C-6 Internal question

I dropped the pan from my c-6 to fix what I thought would be a linkage problem. What I found was the valve that is supposed to go straight back to engage PARK was bent slightly and was out of it's hole and hanging down onto the pan. Is there some sort of guide to direct this valve towards the hole? Or is there some sort of clamp supposed to come off the linkage to hold this thing up? Or is the valve self contained (doesn't come completely out of the hole) and just needs bent back out maybe the linkage is bent too?
