I'm looking for an E4OD for my '94 Turbo Diesel. That's the trans that was originally in the truck. I found one from a '93. Will it work in my '94. Will any other E4OD work besides a "Diesel" trans? I just put one in my '94 with the 460 and the bell housing looked the same. What are the differences between these elusive transmissions?

 

The only thing I do with Automatics is toss them in the dumpster, however the Diesel has a unique bell housing pattern.

So it's Diesel to Diesel only.
