Hey everyone,
The driver side brakelight was not working on my truck, so I took the light off and the bulb was not blown. I blew off the connections because it was really dusty underneath the light. Then I checked the fuses and they all seemed to be fine. After I did all of that it magically worked again for about two days. Then I noticed my blinker running very fast (Which is how I knew it was out before) and I have checked the bulb again and it is still not blown. Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Drew
Is the battery OK? A dying battery or alternator could cause the same issue, but it's far more likely to be the bulb or connections. Certainly so if it only happens on the one side. I'd look more closely for corrosion in the bulb socket or maybe the ground connection.
Connection problem. Same problem I am having on one of my Volvo's. If you get the same luck as me my socket started to melt from the poor connection and now needs replacing. Check all connections and socket for loose or misalignment and ensure everything is tight.
