My First Problem

Well, I have talked up my new Ford to anyone who will listen. How it's so much better built then my last Dodge. Now I may have to eat crow a bit. I was fueling up when the gas insert broke. The pump handle was heavy enough to crack the thing out of the truck, now it may have cracked at an earlier fueling but it all came out today. It looks as if the collar is glued to a sleeve/plate that controls the gas flipper. There are two clips on either side that are held by springs but one popped out and could have gone down the tank (not good) but I was able to pull all the parts out. I guess I will be at the parts counter in the morning getting a new gas cap assembly. Some what sad, Chris.

Should be covered under warranty. Let the dealer fix it.
