Overpriced?
I have been driving my dads work truck around and it is a 2000 chevy silverado 2500 4WD with 67,000 Miles on it and a 6.0L V8. On Kbb options it has: air conditioning, power steering, power windows, power door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, am/fm stero, cassette, dual front air bags, abs, bed liner, towing pkg, alloy wheels. On KBB the suggested prices are: Excellent - $9,155 Good - $8,655 Fair - $8,055.
The trucks condition: The transfer case and front differential were just replaced (I know with the transfer case it broke due to a common defect in that year/make of truck, several people had that problem and had to bring it in to get it fixed, but my dad fixed it and it has a 5 year and 100,000 mile warranty, he spent around 2k for that and getting it installed w/ the front dif) I am not sure about the front dif though, but I believe it is the same. There is several dents in the bed (Due to it being a work truck, they had to put a topper on it) there is extremley small dents in the side and on the bed railing and on the front bumper, there is small scratches in it that my dad used touch up paint on so they will be less likely to rust out, and there is one extremley small rust spot on it. My dad said the lowest price he could give it to me for was $7,000. Is that a good price or to much or not enough or what? Thanks, Tyler.
KBB sometimes seems to always have higher prices than NADA or Edmunds. Check Edmunds. Remember, these are only guides. Personaly, I find Edmunds pricing more real.
Check your, local listings for used trucks comparable to the Silverado. Look at craigslist as well as what the used car lots have them up for sale at.
Keep us posted!
On the other hand, you know more about this vehicle than the folks buying used anyplace else. This alone could make the deal.
It would be cool with a diesel in it!

! God, I like chevy more than ford, but I love the ford community alot more than the chevy generally speaking when it comes to forums!!
