Vans have a different intake, to make up for being cramped under the firewall. Other than that they are pretty much universal, the swap to 3V's was delayed by a year in the F250+ and it was at least a year if not longer in the econolines.

thanks galaxie reps sent. when you do a parts search for an engine on a computer parts inventory system(like hollander) it shows those two seperate goups on a 2000 model and sometimes that means they won't swap, but usually it is omething small that doesn't swap.i have found a 2000 x with a bad 5.4 and i have a good low mile 5.4 f150 parts truck and was wondering if i was getting into more than a simple swap.
