Wish we had more honest shops like yours out our way. Went and had some brakes on the powerstroke replaced and noticed a difference between their parts reciept and ours by about $30. Really makes you doubt some people.

I didn't mean to make it sound like I don't like your grammar, just takes a few reads to pick through it lol.

Thanks Thad, think we got it cleared up lol.

Anything? Hmm...I have a John Deere 4020 diesel engine that would fit under the hood with some modification...LOL

I have done what you did, and my truck works fine also, though I had a little problem with it cooling on the highway. That turned out to be the A/C clutch was out of adjustment.

Mine had been sitting with a low r12 charge for years. I have heard people recommending to change this or that, but the r134a is not that expensive to try, and if it doesn't work, then you can work from that. I am surprised that it worked without pulling a vacuum on it. You have air in it, and air has lots of stuff in it including moisture. I guess the accumulator is taking care of it. If you find that it quits cooling on you, and then starts cooling again, it might be moisture freezing up on the orifice clogging it up.

I know mine had a slow leak. I put some sealant in from Shhh (O'Rielly's) and it fixed it so far.

Charged it up and it working fine!!!

AC is nice when its 95F and near 100% humidity!!!!!

I replaced the dryer, fittings, and orifice. Took top of compressor apart and replaced the o-ring. Has been working fine.

As far as the cruise, check the switch at the pedal. Per this list I looked at mine and found that it was pushed back, so the cruise system thought the brakes were on all of the time which of course turned the cruise off...

We have to remember, different areas of the country see much different prices on parts.

I bet AC parts are higher in Texas and Florida than they are here in WV.
Heater parts are probably higher here than there.

And then there are also people in other countries here as well.

Texas, Florida, South Dakota, Kansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and British Columbia, Canada in this post so far.
