howdie all... i've got an 81 f-150 that i'm monkeying around w/ and what i wanna do w/ it is jack it up a little, bigger tires and lower the ratio in the axles. right now they're at 3.0:1, i'm thinking of putting in 3.73's or thereabouts but anyway... it's got a 300 that i'm going to build up and a t18 w/ a 4x4. i was thinking the other day that when i put on all this stuff, it's going to kindof kill the mileage that i have (which isn't too bad for a truck actually) and it would kind be nice to have an extra gear in that t18...
so, i have a 99 150 that was wrecked and it's got a zf5 in her but it's a 2wd...
my thought was to swap the zf in, but i'm not really sure if its at all possible for my old t-case to mount up to the zf? has anyone here ever attempted such a feat? is there any recommendations anyone would have for this? if there are any other ideas anyone has too, i'd love to hear them,
