another small project finished
check it out, just finished it up and I am pretty happy with it.

The DD5 is a piece phoenix gold made to help to organize wiring and keep everything properly fused. I did my best to keep all the wiring clean but it still looked unfinished around it. I made the bezel to cover the wiring, and then the cover looked unfinished so I had to do something about it......

Wow, that stereo set up is nice. Oh, and it's great to see another Ranger hauling mountain bikes. I think when I re-assemble my truck I'm going to incorporate some kind of mountain bike holders down in the bed. I just need to put my thinking cap on and come up with something that won't be too intrusive on putting other things in there. Again, very nice truck. It's well thought out and very nice.

thanks for the kind words again. The stereo means a little more to me then it would to most people since I designed and built it myself.
I did some racing in the az mountain bike series a few years back and it was easier just to camp at the race site a day or two ahead of the race. This system made it easy to take everything two people needed for a weekend trip.
This system is nice as I can actually disconnect the entire rack system by simply unlocking the stands and lifting it off(2 mins). The fiberglass cover comes off by just unclipping the lifters and looseing two screws. Two people can have it completely off in about 10 mins but it is a great reason to get me out of moving other peoples shtuff. When they call and ask if they can use my truck I happily say that sure they can, but they will need to come over to my place to help me remove the rack and cover and put it back on when we are done. 3 out of 4 of my friends that I made this request to suddenly found another friend with a truck to help them, the 4th we were actually able to fit her loose stuff under the cover and strapped the rest of it to the gear rack on top.
