Fuel Sender Unit Source

I am looking for a 240-33 Ohm fuel sender (12V) that will fit a 1948-50 stock fuel tank. Any suggestions on who might have one?

So, to match the gauge it looks like you need an Autometer sender but I'm not sure that will fit the ford stock tank, and because you are asking and must have the gauge kit, I would guess not. I looked at my 51 and I think (?) that the thread circle might be a little larger but not sure. At one time VDO made a adaptor plate to go from the larger bolt circle to the smaller or it might be possible to retrofit the sender portion on to the Ford tank unit. Or like you asked, a sender to fit your tank with the right ohms, I’m just not aware of one, but that doesn’t mean much. Sorry couldn’t help more.

Thanks for the help. I have a sender currently installed that came with my TPI gauge package. Unfortunately it is a little flakey so I want a new one. I had to modify my current sender and the original top piece for fit the stock tank. I could not use an adapter plate because I have the tool tray installed.

I was hoping someone made an aftermarket sender to fit and still provide 240-33 Ohms.

you can buy just the sender from Autometer.

you can get them from Jegs, Amazon, Summit, and here is one from Craigslist http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/pts/1242486380.html

I googled Autometer 3262
