2 months ago, i traded my 1992 ranger for a 1987 chevy. it annoyed me, so i just traded that for my dream truck(kinda) a 1979 Ford F-150 Custom. It is a piece right now, but i have big dreams. The body is shot, the shock mounts are loose/rusted off, and it needs new spring shackle mounts. My Brother-in-law works at a spring company, so he can help out in that dept, and I was already making it look good by replacing the body with new steel anyways, so i figure "what the heck? It's only $400." The wife--not thrilled at having a rusty pile in the driveway of our suburban home, but i told her "screw the neighbors--his son thinks he can pound on his drum set like Tommy Lee until 10 pm, he can look at my ugly truck when he leaves for work in the morning!" I have an LMC Truck book coming already for it, but i was wondering what other companies make parts for these trucks? Anyways, just figured I would introduce myself. My name is Rob, and i will be lurking on your site until i get some money to start rebuilding my truck, then i will over load you with pictures.
Welcome to FTE. I am sure you will find a wealth of knowledge and support here as many of us have. Please look over the list of sponsors and vendors, and try to support those who support us. Good luck with the project.
welcome to fte,and like the others said check out the sites sponsers, lmc seems to be fairly over priced on almost everything they have.good to see another old ford getting the attention it deserves.
