oil leak
hey guys i have a 2000 f250 5.4 and i have been noticing oil under it lately about the size of a baseball. i looked under it and it coming from up by the engine on the passenger side. cause theres oil on the starter and some on the oil pan also. i checked the bolts on the oil pan and there tight. could this be a rear main seal i have 120,000 miles on the truck

Passenger side valve cover gasket back side is probable where the oil is coming from. That's where my '99' leaked from. I believe the early engine(5.4) in the superduty was an issue for some.

its not coming from where the dipstick goes into the pan is it?Not sure if thats just on 7.3 diesels though..Common problem on 7.3s..I had it and fixed it..It was leaking down passenger side of pan and some oil was on starter also..Just something to check....
