gear swap.

i do belive i am going to change the gears in my truck from the 3.73's that are in it to 4.10's just to help the truck a little better on the hills with the weight i tow. Plus turning the tires i do. My question is where did you guys get the gears from what was the cost for you to buy them? I will be doing the work myself. and did it make a big difference in your truck?

Having spent years & years in four-wheeling communities, I would strongly suggest Randy's Ring & Pinion. They are extremely knowledgeable, very competitive, and have an excellent track record. When ordering your ring & pinion sets, do not forget to order master install kits. After all, it is much easier to replace some of those parts while you have everything apart.

4.56 or don't waste your time IMO

alot of guys have done the 4.56 swap...especially those running 35" tires like you.

most report they regained their power to back to stock levels, and that their lower RPM mileage came back up as well.

besides, 4.56 gears will really help you when hauling that trailer & your 4-wheelers. You will see a difference with 4.10 gears...but not alot.

I'd like to concur. 4.10s w/35s are not worth the cost of the upgrade.

Might be worth looking into a locker, too, while you're at it.
