4 speed and engine block ?
I have a 79 150 with a 300 in it. I got a deal on a 77 that had a 302 with c6 in it. I wanted to put the 302 in my 79 cause my 300 is pretty beat. My ? is that when I looked the motor over The cutch linkage bolted onto the bell houseing of the block and no spot to do so on the 302. I came to find out that the 302 was out of a cougar! I have given up on the 302 and i am gonna try and hold out for a good 351 or 400. Sorry for that rant... heres the real ?.. Do I need to get a motor out of the same year truck with a manual trans or did this not work because it was origanally out of a car. THanks in advance and happy belated independence day!!!!
