I posted this in the truck appropriate forum, but I figured it would fit in here too.
These are from saturday morning. Pictures dont do justice, but I had the truck stuck from 230 in the morning till around 6 in the morning. You cant imagine the smile I had on my face when we finally got out. We were just about to call my Dad for help, when I made one last run at this hill. I had the truck held at wide open for close to 35 seconds, no exhaust =). And we came out on someones farmland. Able to see a few house relatively close. So I snapped a few pictures and we proceeded to find our way out. We had to go all throughout the persons yard. And we finally hit the road. What a night.
In the top right corner, you can see three white powerline poles. Kinda gives an idea of how steep the hill was.
Where we started out is way off in the distance, behind the next visible set of poles. This is taken from the top of the hill we made the last run of the night at. It started way down in the valley, which isnt even visible from this view. The first hour or so was spent trying to get back up the way we came in. We almost ran out of gas. So one of my buddys picked us up and brought us back to my house which is about 5 minutes away. We grabbed a 5 gallon can and hiked back to the truck. We finally gave up on that hill. And went searching for another way out, Thus finding the way out.
Parked at the Red Dog Saloon in Middletown CT to unlock the hubs and catch the sunrise. =)
You all must have some friendly people out there. Around here, if you got caught riding through someone's yard, there'd be bullets flying! It sure did sound like a wild night, though.
Yeah no kidding, if I found some guy driving through my yard i'd unload a clip or two into his truck. I'd make sure at least three of the tires were flat.
Haha, well it was either follow the dirt road throughout this persons land to get to the road. Or go back down into the valley of death and get stuck again. I was almost hoping somebody would be outside so i could apologize for the disturbance and the trespassing. But everything was quiet, so I snuck on out.

metal cans seem allot more enviromental then plstic, wonder why they changed?
plastic don't rust either haha my grandpa just passed and there was a butt load of metal oil cans with oil leaking out the bottom because of rust, saved a few tho..anyways well done on your adventure, the rule out here on ppls property is that if theres no lock, you may walk (just close the gate behind you)
