I need to know what part number E4TF-9C915AA is please. It is located off a tube at the TB connected to another tube going the vacuum box at the bottom right (passenger side) of the radiator. Thanks for the help
It is the fuel vapor solenoid valve.
AKA EVAP Canister Purge Solenoid.
The valve is operated by the computer when the engine is warm and at steady high way speed.

Ford ID number: E4TF-9C915-AA = Ford part number: E9DZ-9C915-A .. Fuel Vapor Purge Solenoid Valve Assy. (Motorcraft CX1324).
I remember throwing a code for that, I sprayed starter fluid to check for vacuum leaks and the engine revved up a little when sprayed in that area. I changed out old tubes on the EVAP thingy (LOL) and it ran a little better. It still bogged down but not as bad. I guess I'll change it out next to see if that help or corrects it. Thanks subford, by the way your allowed to call me an idiot.
When I took off the TB to check it, there was no gasket on there. there was however alot of gunk built up in the upper plenum. I scraped it out and used my shop-vac tosuck it out so it wouldn't go into the engine. I did tighten the bolts down as tight as could get them without cracking the TB.
I was acting up before I took off the TB, but I'll get a gasket for it anyway. Is there a way to check to see if the FVSV is bad and would it cause the cats to be hotter than normal. I checked the cats and they're good and not clogged.
If the valve was stuck open the engine would run poor at idle and under WOT and normal at steady high-way speeds.
If you think it is a problem pull the hose off of the valve going to TB and plug the hose going to the TB. Then see if it runs any better.
Have you checked your timing with a timing light with the SPOUT out?
Yeah I did plug the hose going to the TB and it it idle rough before I plugged it and idled steady when I plugged it, I just haven't driven it that way yet. And no I have not yet checked the timing.
Sounds like the valve is stuck open, try removing the hose at the canister and plug the hose going to the valve. Idle the engine and if it idles OK pull the plug out of the hose, it should run the same. If not the valve is open when it should not be.
It could be the valve stuck open or the wiring from the valve to the computer may be shorted to ground.
Tried what you said, don't know if I did it right. Really saw no change, it idled fine. It only idled rough when I took the hose off the TB and didn't plug it. At the other end of the canister I barely felt any vacuum at all, I even held a peice of paper to it and it wouldn't even suck it to the hose. Does this sound right, sorry if I'm holding you up.
