C6 trans filter

C6 trans filter

I didn't pay close enough attention when removing the filter. One of the bolts is longer than the rest. I'm thinking it probably goes on either side of the two larger bolts since they are also longer...but can anyone tell me where it actually goes? Or, does it matter that much?

I just di mine and the longer bolt goes in the in the rear of the filter where it comes to kind of a point and to the drivers side. I hope that helped

ok I was mistaken I have my old filter right here the long bolt goes in the corner by the fluid pick up on the drivers side of the filter towards the back of the trans> If you hold it in place hopefully you can see where I am trying to explain this
