Good morning everyone!
God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the
archangel, found him resting on the seventh day.
He inquired, "Where have you been?"
God smiled deeply and proudly pointed downwards through the
clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."
Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?"
"It's a planet," replied God, and I've put life on it.. I'm
going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place to test Balance."
"Balance?" inquired Michael, "I'm still confused."
God explained, pointing to different parts of earth. "For
example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and
wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor. Over here I've placed
a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black
people. Balance in all things."
God continued pointing to different countries. "This one will be
extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."
The Archangel, impressed b y God's work, pointed to a land area
& said, "What's that?"
"That's the State of Nevada , the most glorious place on earth.
There are beautiful rivers, mountains, streams, lakes, forests, hills,
beaches and plains.
The people from the State of Nevada are going to be handsome,
modest, intelligent, humorous, and they are going to travel the world.
They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving, carriers
of peace, and producers of good things."
Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But
what about balance, God? You said there would be balance."
God smiled, "There's Washington DC . Wait till you see the
idiots I put there. "

Well returned from the raceway. I'm so disappointed with the racing here we bought 6 adult tickets before the season. Well we have used 4 of them & we will give the other 2 (FREE) to anyone that wants to go watch what they call racing in Fallon. I'm done. The heat races were great, track was great. I thought alright they can put on a good show. Then came an hour or so break after the heat races, (KIDDIE RIDES took about half of it) which was OK. Then came the main events & they started watering the track to the point that even the Mini Stocks or called GenX cars were wrecking because they couldn't get traction. They kept adding water between the classes, then came the wrecks & riding around for lap after lap. We finally got sick of it & came home after the pro stocks made I think a couple of race laps then started riding around for about 20+laps, we left.
I'm an old motorhead & race fan. It is sad when I get so disappointed with racing that I quit going. But that is what we are doing. We supported the Lovelock track last year with money. Now I'm having second thoughts if we will do it next year. We sponsored a car last year & wanted to this year but we just didn't get hooked up with the right situation, & now I'm glad we didn't.
Unless, things change we won't be back. We will find something else to donate our money to.
Anyway that is my rant. When I feel the need to rant I better quit doing whatever I'm ranting about.

Larry said he thought he saw you there. I looked for you guys. Yous should have stayed to the end, Larry took 2nd even after all the bumper cars in the heat race. He finshed the last 4 laps on a flat right rear, too! Not a flat panel left on the car though. The IMCA main actually went all the way without a caution.
You're right though, there is an ongoing debate on the proper operation of the track. We are getting a little tired of the drama as well and are considering going back to off-road racing next year.

Sorry I missed seeing Larry take second place. Yea, I love racing but when the operation of the track starts interfering with the racing by doing stupid crap like water a track before every class when the heat races were great & the track was hard looked pretty smooth, one racer told us it was good. Why go screw up things. NASCAR is starting to control everything a racer does. Manditory this & that. I got tired of all that also & seldom watch it.
I think VORRA does a great job. They have for years. I pitted in the late 80s for a class 10 car in Yerington. VORRA ran a great race. Then last year we came out here in Fallon & again a great job & a real fun time.
We'll come see you guys at VORRA. I know if I had a car I wouldn't race here with things as they are.
In fact the last GOOD oval dirt track race event we saw in Northern Nevada was in Fernley in early 2000s. Can't remember the year but in the first years that track ran.
We have two tickets we will give away if you have anyone that wants to go to Rattlesnake, Michelle. We aren't going back.
