Radiator Fluid

I have a 2008 F350 with the 6.4L diesel, with 20,000 miles. I just got back from a camping trip this week and noticed the next morning that I had a puddle of radiator fluid under the front bumper on the passenger side. The engine never ran hot but on inspection I found the reservoir was empty. With all the radiators up front it is nearly impossible to see where it is coming from. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem may be?

It could be anything from a loose clamp to a bad hose or cap to a leaking core. Since it didn't run hot, it shouldn't have much of a pressure leak. A slight pressure is required in the coolant system, usually 13-18psi. To drain the res, any leak would have to be below it, so we can rule out the cap. I would look for damage or evidence of critters first, something that could have happened close to home.

Also, check the 6.4 forum. There have been problems with the radiators leaking on the new 6.4s. Most all have been covered under warranty if caught soon enough.
