Just a thought ?
I saw a show that put a duramax v8 with a allisson tranny in a 65 impala with a turbo that put out 800 hp . It ran on boidiesel or regular diesel . They ran it against a lambo at the track and this car smoked the lambo in the quarter . What about running this combo in our trucks ? But of coarse a ford diesel combo v8 . Does ford make a nice v8 diesel and allisson tranny combo ? Just think a million mile drivetrain and all that horsepower on bio . I know you guys are running other diesels . And this car got 25 miles mpg . That would be a fast and envoromentally friendly truck .
I saw it too. But I watch it all the time. The show is a hoot, very entertaining. A guilty pleasure. Wouldn't be caught dead in most of their cars but it's fun to see what they do to them.
The Impala SS was one of the few ungoofy ones they've done. And the car had 1500 ft/lbs of torque. Wow!
I bet the chebby boys were throwing things at the screen when they cut the floorboard of what looked like a very nice body to make room for that Allison.
