i took the motor and tranny out and replaced some seals and when i put it back in now it wont start and its cranking over hard as hell with brand new batterries new starter and chargers on both batteries what else should i be looking for or what am i doing wrong
Welcome to FTE. What seals did you replace? Do you have a scanner where you can monitor live data while cranking? That would make life easier.
To start, make sure you didn't forget to plug something back in. Check the fuses, check the engine oil level and oil level in the HPOP reservoir. Can you hear the fuel pump come on when the key is turned to the on position? WTS light come on & go off like normal with the key?
Do you know how to check the oil level in the HPOP reservoir? It should be 3/4 - 1" from completely full. There's a drain valve that keeps it from going 100% full I believe.
Do you have fuel in the fuel bowl?
Have you checked all your harness connections & sensor connections?
i replaced the for plugs and seals one on each end of both heads and i didnt have the reservoir full of oil. when i got it full and primed it not only turned over better but it started. but now i gotta take it back out becuase the tranny isnt catching so im going to get a new torque converter. thanx guys for the help
