The contours of the bumpers are totally different. The 80-86 bumper is kind of flat with a few sharp angles while the 87-91 bumper is pretty smooth with a slight overall curve.
The frame horns(where the bumper bolts too) are contoured the same, but you would have to drill a few extra holes, so it can be done. But, it would also look a little off since the 87-91 bumper wraps around the front of the truck and the older bumper does not. On the 80-86 trucks, the front fenders extend down behind the bumper to fill that gap. You would be left with a large opening behind the bumper under the front of your front fenders.
Are you serious? You couldn't look at the truck in the pic and tell it was completely different than yours?! Do a lil googling. For push bar, brush guard 87-91 there are lots out there
Ive been trying to find one for mine but apparently they are discontinued and honestly no, i dont stare at the front end of my truck enough to notice. I had an 86 and i wouldntve been able to point that out unless they were sitting right next to each other. Only 2 i knew without side by side was the hood slope up front and the tail light shape in the back.
Im not an expert. Im 17. Sure if i paid attention i couldve noticed it but i dont. I have a 1989 Ford F150. The only thing in my mind is that it runs decent and it has a blue oval. Thats all i care about. I dont care about what makes mine different from other year F150's cuz their all Fords.
