Need info quick please--removing bed insert

Might have a chance to get a bed insert to replace mine (78 F250). Does anyone know what's involved in removing a full size bed insert? Is it just bolts, or is there any welding that would have to be dealt with?

The middle portion of the bed, between the wheel wells. I understood it can be replaced. Mine has a lot of rust in it.

you have to almost completly teak the bed into pieces. It is the backbone of the bed. Not to rude, but if you are asking what is involved, it is over your head

No offense taken. So if I have rust in the central part of the bed (mainly at the back, near the gate), get it taken care of at a body shop or by a welder? Thanks for the response.
