Oh it is damn good to be back in the heat! I got back in town yesterday at 2p, went to the
Mayhem Fest at the Cricket Pavillion (yes, I'm a 
), then back to the house at 11p. Dogs were thrilled to see me, which is nice. I get to relax by myself until my wife gets back Monday evening.
After Sheboygan I headed to Nashville to hang out with my wife & the inlaws. Two things from that trip. First, my father-in-law (who in the last 6 weeks had a brain tumor discovered, removed, and has started chemo and radiation) looks damn good. He's lost a few pounds and the steroids make his face swell a little, but he's half way through radiation and still sharp. We're all quite happy with the progress, and will continue to pray that the tumor does not come back. Second, on a much lighter note, I hate humidity. People there would comment to my wife and I: "I see it's going to be 110 in Phoenix today. Bet you're glad you're here." To which I'd immediately reply: "Actually I prefer the heat. I love that stuff. Plus, when we're 110 and 10% humidity, it's just as good or bad as 90 degrees and 90% humidity." It shuts them up right away. In case you can't tell, I do not like The South.
Oh, please don't talk too much about teenage daughters. It scares me. My wife & I officially started trying to get her pregnant, and I'm hoping for boys!!!
