I have a 97 EB Expy that has strange Power Window issues. I can lower all 4 windows from the master control on the drivers door, but can not raise the other 3 from this control. Each window will go up and down using its own control switch. I have done several searches and have not seen anything like this. This problem started about a week ago with just the right rear window not raising with the master switch, a few days later, then the right front window stopped raising. Now the left rear is doing the same thing. I have removed the master switch and atempted to clean all of the switch contacts but I still have this problem. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks for your input.
Got a volt-ohm meter? Sounds like the switches are shot but only in one direction. (I've seen weirder things, but all 3 is interesting.) I'll look at the schematic some more and see if I can come up with a test pattern for you as well.
I'd take the switch out of the door panel and poke the wire to the switch with a test light to see if when it's pressed in the opposite direction that it has power.
Thanks for the help. I have cleaned all of the contacts in the master switch, and verified continuity to + and Ground on each switch in both directions. When connecting it back up last evening, I found that aggressively wiggling the connectors got the right front window and the left rear one to come up. I cleaned the blade connectors with alcohol and now I have 3 out of 4 windows going up and down from the master control. I also cleaned the individual switches from both rear doors just to be sure. I am still stuck with being able to lower the right rear, but not raise it... Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks again
Alcohol only "kinda" works. Best thing for electrical connections is to rub them with sandpaper.
you may need to take the switch assembly to radioshack or similar and figure out what type of female connectors plug into it. My guess is that if the male (Switch side) connectors were corroded, the female (harness) side is in just as bad a shape. You might need to clip the old connectors off and solder / crimp on new ones.

You might have to pull the wire connector out of the plastic plug body, give it a little squeeze, then re-insert it. The connectors might have just lost some of their squeeze and loosened up over time.
Hello and thanks for all of the suggestions. Now that vacation is over and I still have this problem I am ready to tackle it again. By the way, the right front will now not go up with the drivers switch even with wiggling the connectors. It still works just fine using the local switch. I have checked all of the switches and The "Normally Closed" contacts open as they should and "Normally Open" contacts close as they should. I thought that I had seen some time ago where the "window direction" was controlled by the GEM or something. Is this so and could that be the source of my "One-Way" window woes?
Sounds like the master switch is toast, sold a bunch of these. I'm at home right now but send me a note via the contact us link on my web page and i'll quote you for a new one.
Heeding the advice of others but not wanting to risk $101.00 (local Ford stealership),nor the waiting involved with on-line ordering, I found a Master Window Control Switch at a local Salvage Yard (Great place, they let you try before you buy!) It did solve the problem! Thanks to all who contributed! Hopefully this experience will help others
Fordman, No need to remove the rockers. They stay part off the top housing. If you are just cleaning the contacts, they are on top of the lower half of the housing, white, as I recall. In my opinion, the lower half of the assembly is best left assembled, but unfortunately if the thing has failed, the problem is most likely on the circuit board or wirng in the bottom half of the switch. The master switch that I got at the salvage yard was complete and I only had to pop it into the door trim piece. Good Luck with it.
Thanks for your help, I have a new one on order just wanted to see it its the problem for sure. It goes down awesome but sometimes I have to hit the switch twice to get the window to come back up. My old dodge was notoriuous for this but they were super easy to take apart, and made super cheap but not price wise
