Hello, I am new to the site and would like to know if it is possible to tell which year of engine is in a 2004 f250 diesel, ie:- 2003 or the 2004.

09/29/03 was the cut off date also it was my trucks build date. I have yet to verify if I do have a 03 turbo though.

Should be able to tell from the tag on the engine when and at which plant it was produced. Most of the engines came from the Indianapolis plant, but I have seen some from the Huntsville plant also.
