How do I remove A/C pulley?
So I've got a 95' F-150 w/ 300 engine - the A/C has been nice and cold right along. A few days ago the A/C pulley started chattering and you could smell it burning up so I shut it off and limped along with this worsening rattle. I bought a shorter belt to bypass the A/C but it's pulley protrudes into the path of the shorter belt just a bit - can I remove the pulley from the compressor or does the whole unit need to be removed? I took the clutch off but I can't see what else holds the pulley to compressor. I don't want to assume it's a press fit and start at it with a pry-bar unless I hear that this is a good idea. Any info is much appreciated.
