Ok I am finally at the point to where I can slip the fairly new stock clutch when I get on it. With the new hybrids and the 38r it push’s the power over the stock clutch limits. The stock clutch does fine for every day hauling and driving. But it doesn’t let me enjoy the full potential of my truck now. So I am in search for a good clutch and would like to know what the FTE guys and gals think about the Valair Clutch or the South Bend. I hope to get it and install it before RRE in August.
I love my Valair. They are pros when it comes to clutches. Mention Cody from Death Row Diesel,DRD (Rubberduck on FTE) for a discount. He has been working closely with them for awhile on several projects.
They will hook you up with exactly what you need.
I put a South Bend in mine and LOVE it! It has a softer pedal then stock (which i like) but holds very well! You will need there one better then the one i got. I got the just above stock one because i am not going to be making a ton of power. Talk to Clay he will put you in the right direction.
