Hey guys, great to be back on FTE. missed yall, been real busy with the truck, lotta new stuff with it(post pics later) but right now i got a problem.
The bolts that hold the manifold and the exhaust pipe (that coupling thingy) came loose for whatever reason and i dont know what size they are.
Someone told me they think its a meteric 14 fine, but i dont know.
any help would be greatly appreciated, i cant drive the truck till i fix it because of the dangers that come with an exposed manifold sucking in cold air . so once again thanks in advance.
I doubt it's metric. Most things that thread into the engine are standard. If it takes a 1/2" wrench, it's going to be 5/16-18 coarse or 5/16-24 fine thread. If it takes a 9/16 wrench, it's going to be a 3/8-16 coarse or a 3/8-24 fine thread.
Hey Franklin, like i said before i appreciate your post but i came back and read it, and these bolts dont thread into the engine. its the 2 bolts that hold the exhaust pipe to the manifold. they came off somehow and now my exhaust pipe is hanging loose.
