I got wholes on both sides and the PO had a tank in the bed and under it it g ot way rusty and so the front of the bed in the corners is mostly rusted out. I may just go flatbed w/ it.
im still not sure if i want to keep it as a flatbed. cause i love the body style with the bump side but i dont know a flatbed would be badass for mudding...
but how did you and your friends do your suspension?
Ya i like the bumpsides too. but my bed is shot and would take as much to fix it or replace as it would to get a flatbed or make one.
No it is not an auto, I wish it was though. I may convert it sometime down the road if I can find me a auto 4x4 that bolts up to my FE.
And once it gets light out I will go and take more. but the front is a cross member made out of angle iron and I used the front mounts from a 250. In the rear I cut some pipe as wide as the frame and milled out the center so the bushings fit and then put the pipe in and welded it to the frame. Kinda like the stock set up.
Also, I dont like the ride of the leafs up front, feels to stiff for me. but they are probably still in the break in period. But I am thinking of going to a coil sprung D60 up front and either do a 4 link or a 3 link w/ panhard bar. So that is the plan when I get some money too. It has bout 8 inch of lift, but I want a few more so a shackle flip in the rear may be in the works once the coil sprung comes into play.
Ya too bad. and I would like to have a married set up cause the retards who did my exhaust welded it all together and it has the H pipe right after the transfer so there is no room for a divorced
