ip question

I asked this awhile back but got no answer. Is there a way to tell if the ip has been turned up? I don't want to go messing with the pump if it has been turned up. If it hasn't then I would like to turn it up a flat or so. So one out there has to be able to tell me yes or no.

There is no way to tell without the proper calibration equipment!

However, that is not important, Whats important is the exhaust and EGT's!

The only safe way to turn up the fuel is by watching the exhaust and EGT's.

Then it's been turned up and turning it up is dangerous without an EGT gauge.

Thanks, I figured it had been. Guess I better look into that gauge sooner than planned. I want to pull my stepsons truck home (about 120miles) with a few good hills so I will need one.

Or turn the fuel down till it don't smoke under load until you do get an EGT gauge.

I might have to do that. I talked to him today(the stepson) and he said he had to wait to get his truck down here so I might get that gauge in before that.
