Anyone around Orlando?
So, I live in Altamonte Springs, the west side by Apopka. I'm looking if anyone has a code reader or some knowledge of the problems I'm having. First off, my four wheel drive isn't working, and from the research, I'm thinking this could be vacuum hoses? Also, the O/D light is flashing, so I really want to find out what code I'm throwing there. If anyone is around the area that could help, it would be much appreciated. Also, if you would happen to know any reputable shops that are comfortable with 7.3's, that would be a great help as well. Thanks.

Can you give us a little more info on your truck ,and the problems you are having?
ie.The 4wd problem could be vacuum,elec.,mech. etc.
What year truck?

Sure, it's an '01 F-250 CC 7.3. When I flip the selector from 2WD to 4WD Hi, the light comes on, and I can't turn my front drive-shaft. So that was the only reason I started to assume it could be a vacuum problem with the hubs, or a problem with the hubs in general. Thanks.

Jack up the front end (chock the rear)
Engage the 4wd. do the axles turn w/ the hubs?
(both sides?)
If the hubs do not lock onto the axles,there may be a vacuum problem,or a hub problem.
Can you lock them manually?
The flashing OD light could be as easy as the speed sensor in the rear.
Pull it, clean it and reinstall it. Cheap and easy and a very common DIY repair.
