Cali models had a cat and a GCM rather than a GPR.

Excursions use a GCM as well regardless of where they're from.

00 and 01 models MAY have had a cat, depending on what APCD area the truck was originally ordered in. Oakland, Bakersfield, Ridgecrest, and most rural areas were considered exempt. These vehicles will be placarded on the radiator body mount with a sticker indicating what level the truck was built to. The sticker will say "NO CAT required"

I know Oakland/SF isn't considered rural, but they have "different" compliance laws because they don't have the same levels of pollution as Fresno, which is where the pollution from SF goes to.

My 01 was originally from Folsom, traded to Monterey, then to Rio Vista, it is labeled non cat.
