So I had my 03 F250 a week and a lady hyrdoplaned into me and totalled it! So I went and bought a 2005 F-250 yesterday. I was reading about the coil spacers for leveling the 05. They say in their advertisement that with just the leveling kit you can fit 37" tires. I was curious if that was possible.. I don't want to go that big.. maybe 35". Any thoughts? Anybody out there with one leveled with 35" tires with pics? Thanks for any thoughts guys!
I know the readylift system will allow you to run the 35-37" tires. The tires they recomend are of a specific size with specific wheel back spacing.
Seeing as you have the 250, typically they are already level depending on your motor, and factory front/rear spring ratings. If it is relatively level and using the 2.5" kit you will want and should raise the rear to relevel it with the front. This is popular with the replacement of the rear leaf 250 block with the 350 block. These can be found used, new or on ebay from time to time. You will want to purchase new u-bolts with these if that is your plan.
You should also aquire a carrier bearing spacer for the drive shaft to bring the angle back to where it should be.
Installing the leveling kit can get more expensive than you may think. once installed you may possibly need a track bar drop bracket or a adjustable track bar to corect the steering geometry. Readlift recomends the drop bar bracket kit to help retain the factory ride
When all said and done including tires and possibly wheels, alignment (may require camber shims, another expense) tools you may need etc.. (if you do it yourself) can get you into the $2000 dollar range.
You may also want to consider upgrading your shocks to improve the ride with the larger tires especially if they haven't been replaced in a while.
Take your time and research and educate on all the parts you need and the work that will need to take place.

There is lots of good advice in this post - you may also require some steering stabilizer upgrade. I have to do some homework on mine >> might go with a better shock than the OEM one, or might go to a dual stabilizer arrangement. I have to do some research. Also, if you change the rear blocks on your 250 (2") to 350 ones (4") you will need longer rear shocks and the 350 swaybar end links to get the swaybar back up to where it belongs.
