My damn computer gave me the blue screen of death Saturday morning so I was unable to check back all weekend

Holy Crap, this is the most activity that has been on this thread for a weekend (or any time for that matter, lol) in a long time.

Hey Steve and Jim, we have plenty of room here for more people, hell I am pretty sure we can fit the whole state of New Jersey and Vermont inside of Montana and still have room for the rest of New England.

Spool whaddya say, co chairs of the chapter? Lol! Let's get the ball rolling on nominating.

Well I managed to get the shortblock assembled and bolted up to the tranny and then bolted the thing back into the truck. I borrowed a handcart from work so I could relocate the shortblock from my room to outside where the truck is. So much easier than trying to man handle it. Biggest pain in the nether regions was finding somebody with a truck so I could run and grab a damn cherry picker. I got a kick out of people asking me why I couldn't use my truck, lol. It was pretty easy after that. I still have to drop the heads on the block and grab a new blower motor and heater core so I can get the hvac box bolted back in before I get to much further along. Time is ticking away but I will hopefully be up and running by the end of the week.

I can't talk though. I own 4. 1 in pieces 3 running but only 1 road legal. A second really close to being on the road.

Funny thing. When I sold my old truck (just 2 at that time with one legal) I realized how much I really used it. I also had a hard time trying to borrow one(with or without it's owner).

LOL, you aint shi**ing about the boonies. I have multiple vehicles, this is the first truck I have owned. Of the four vehicles I own, one is currently able to be driven. What little I have used my truck for, it has been a godsend. Wish I would have purchased one years ago.

Hell, I wouldn't know who else to nominate as I am fairly new to the site.

 

You don't have to be a native. The only requirements are that you be at least age 21 and a registered user on FTE for a minimum of 60 days.

 

Got my first truck in '97. Went to kolidge. Got my first 4x4 in '99 (the '83 in the gallery). Sold that around '04 and was without any legal truck for about 6-8 months before picking up a '87 Toyota 4x4. Used that until I got the 07 ranger and I had 2 trucks on the road for about 1.5 years. Now the Toyota is just a yard/plow truck. The '72 that I bought in '97 is the one close to being back on the road. I also aquired 2 cars along the way. Not being married is nice at times.

 

Well Hell, I am over 21 and have been on here for at least 60 days, might even be 90. Lol

 

I thought it was like the presidency. Be 21, a member on FTE for 60 days and have been a legal resident of the state for 35 years.
