Duplex Wheels

Friends,

In the seventies, Ford sold a one-ton pickup that did NOT have dual wheels on the rear. The rear wheels were wider than the front wheels and, to the best of my memory, they were called "Duplex" wheels. What say y'all?

I think the rear wheels are 16.5 x 9.75 I've heard them called super singles. Those trucks are a f350 140" wheelbase srw styleside bed and some are called a super camper special.

The Super Singles term is what I hear the truckers refer to when talking about the wide single tire/wheel used to replace dual wheels on the rear. Also, the SS's are seen on many H.D. trucks (Dumpers and mixers) on the front end. I would like to have that wide look on the front of my '56 F-350 Thanks for your input.
