I have been pulling my hair out trying to tame this awful noise. I changed the belt a couple of months ago when I first bought the truck due to belt squeal. The garage put on a dayco belt and new tensioner. The next day I drove it from Ontario to New Brunswick and it started squealing again by the time I got to Montreal. When I arrived here I cleaned the pulleys with brake cleaner and a wire brush and tried another belt, a dayco again. The noise returned less than a week later. I then found these forums and replaced the idler pulley and installed an AC delete pulley, along with a new Motorcraft belt (the gatorback belt I see mentioned on here isn't available locally) The noise went away for about two weeks but it's back once again. The only thing I can think of now is that it is a pulley alignment issue. It appears like either the tensioner pulley is sticking out some or the alternator pulley needs to go in some.
Any suggestions? I will include acouple of pictures, perhaps they will help some.
