2v or 3v
Whats up? first post, Just picked new F150 STX ,so far I'm happy, I'm trying to figure out if it has the 4.6 2V or 3V? I tryied the VIN decoder but it didn't say. Anny info would be great! Thanks

I've never claimed to be a rocket scientist! It says 2V on the window sticker
! Sow what do you guys think, is it worth messing with, or just leave it alone? I was thing of at least a C.A.I. and a cat-back system.

CAI is a waste of time for this engine. Your air intake is just fine as it is. A catback may help a bit.

Ford had "Triton V8" on fender badges on a lot of those vehicles including my '02 E150. They obviously decided that they needed some kind of macho-sounding name for what was basically the Mustang/Crown Vic V8 being put into the trucks (along with the stroked 5.4 variant which had not been used in cars).
