tread wright tires
Hey all,
I am currently in the market for new tires. Some friends of mine are suggesting I put tread wrights on my 75' f-250 high boy 4x4. Has anyone used these, if you don't know they are retreaded tires. Thanks.

I never liked retreads, they always had a tendency to peel off at highway speeds. Retreads were always used if you were going to sale it and needed decent looking treads for the sale. Or if you were just to poor to buy fresh tires.
If you plan on keeping the truck, I would buy all four new, or if the price was too steep, then I would buy two, then go get the other two when the wallet permitted.
I just wouldn't risk a blow out and possibly destroying my dent, or getting hurt, or someone else!

I have heard dood thing about the writes tires. You can get a bunch of differen t name brand tred designs but without the price. Usually they are less than half the cost of new tires. But beware. they use any tire carcas to retread, so you may have 4 differnt brand carcases . But if you ask , and pay more thay can give you 4 of the same carcases
And i always thought it was illegal to put retreads on the steep axle but, wrights doesn't say anything about it
