Where to get a bed mat?
Unfortunately one of the things that would've made the most difference to the truck's appearance isn't available anymore, a rubber bed and tailgate mat (Page 74 in the 73-79 catalogue). They still have the shortbed version and the expensive really thick version but not the one I wanted. Now I'm sad. The inside of my truck bed is banged to hell with occasional rust holes. I don't want a full bed liner because it wouldn't really look right so what I was going to do was coat the floor in POR 15 and put the mat over it. Anyone know where else I can get one? I'm not really interested in a "trim to fit" version because I doubt it would look as good.

Wish I would've bought it a year ago. Oh well.
I'm finishing up painting a 78 model, will spray the bed inside wall's same as outside of bed, but plan once funds come avaiable to have a spray in, bedliner; but for now, I've order a tonnea cover from Extang, and now will place a mat in the bed floor for finish touches.
So this thread really helps. I like the product mention by Berry1234, better than Summit; just becuase of the logo not being on the mat.
I plan once once able to spray, to used the tonnea and mat in my next truck (76) F100 going to convert to a 4wd model. So the cover & mat won't be a total loss and the next truck will gain so protection.

Check it out, it's on the LMC site in the 73-79 Ford catalogue, page 74.
