tranny identification
I was wondering how to tell the difference between a np235, t-18/19, and a toploader. More as in physical features that I can notice.

Best way I know how to tell between the NP435 and T18/19, is by where reverse is located. On the NP435, it is to the right and down (toward seat), on the T18/19, it is to the right and up (toward dash).
There is also a way to tell by how the shifter is attached. On the T18/19, the retainer fits around the outside of the shift tower. On the NP435,it fits into the shift tower.
