Funny Trans
I replaced the clutch in my 94 Ranger (5 Speed Man.). There was nothing wrong when I started. When I finished there was something wrong. It tries to go in neutral. I took the shifter out and made sure that all the shift linkages were correct. They were fine. I still couldn't get the thing to not try to take off in neutral and was having difficulty getting it into 4th and 5th. I drop the trans again and took the cover off. It doesn't appear that there was anything wrong. The sincronizers didn't appear to have anything wrong and crazy as it was they were all sitting in neutral. So how is it that it is set for neutral and not in neutral at the same time. Anybody got any ideas. I am new to the the world of transmission, but not to auto repair.:7
