inline fuel filter

I want to put a inline fuel filter/water seperator on my 96 powerstroke. I was thinkin of mounting it on the frame And was wondering if anyone knew which fuel line was the feed line. Top or bottom line. Thanks for any info.

Not sure what your goal is. Are you going to change out the whole system and go with a different fuel pump?

I think he wants to add in a second seperator/fuel filter.

Yeah, but why? He already has a water separator and filter. Anything between the selector valve and the 1st stage of the pump will just make it just harder for the pump to get fuel to the OEM fuel canister.
