checking injectors & flow bench in KY

checking injectors & flow bench in KY
As i understand the only wat to check the injectors in a 97 is to put them on a flow bench... is this correct? also does any one know where to get them checked in central kentucky... or anywhere close that would check them? the truck started shaking real bad and started loosing power on the way home and decreasing speed at the same time... when i downshifted from 4th to 3rd it died and wouldnt start back so im thinking its the injectors...

I would start with the proverbial CPS.
Does the tach work while cranking? If not it's definitely the CPS. You can get one from the dealer for ~$30. You may even get one fro free since Ford issued a recall on them.

Midway? wheres that? I live in somerset. My buddy runs Diesel Power Systems here in somerset, has all the diagnostic stuff. if you need info gimme a call. will PM you my cell number. there is also a disel shop that can do it in lexington.
