Need to replace 2009 F-250 tow mirrors with smaller flag style...

Hello,

Newbie just got my first F250.
I plow and use my trucks for work and rarely tow a trailer of any type.
I like the tow mirrors but they are very unpractical for my narrow plow spots.
Does anyone know if it's possible to replace the massive '09 side mirrors with a smaller style?

much appreciated
FYI: also restoring a 1969 E200 Econoline standard on the column.
thanks for taking the time and for any help!!

Scott

Yes, It is possible.... If you are wanting to do this I will buy you a brand new set from the dealership if you allow me to have your original ones. Also, if you live anywhere near me I will install them for you.

you can use the factory paddle mirrors. here's an example:
Ford : F-250:eBay Motors (item 230350628272 end time Jun-30-09 12:55:37 PDT)

they are the same stock mirrors from 99-09 and beyond. i had these on my 05 but replaced them. still have them though. i think the plugs may be different, but most people ( i think) when they upgrade their pre08 tow mirrors to 08+ mirrors just remove the plugs and connect the wires

I also have the tow mirrors, they're nice but too big for me. I feel like I'm driving an RV, which I like to do but not all the time.
Maybe I'll get a set of the paddle mirrors and hang on to these in case I get a trailer someday.

not to be rude or anything, but the OP wanted to know if it was possible to swap tow mirrors for paddle mirrors. not who has them for sale. he can go to the classifieds section or on ebay if he decides that is what he wants.

It looks like the vultures are swarming. What i wonder is how much difference there is in overall width. Very little i would guess. I don't think the op will gain much at all if he has his mirrors in the non extended position. I plow with the big mirrors and if u are crowding your mirrors you are too close. And if the op is in that tight of a spot he could just fold them in for a brief moment. No problem. Please op guy don't swap your mirrors as them paddle mirrors look dorky and makes your truck look like a old f150.

I have to agree... if anything, I would get the power folding towing mirrors and just fold them out of the way when needed. That will make both the OP and the vultures happy!

I was thinking the same thing. Sell his to the vultures and upgrade to the power folding type. But i really don't think there is much width difference but the tow mirrors are longer i believe. From top to bottom that is.

The paddle mirrors are approx. 4" narrower per side than the 08+ tow mirrors. I just measured. I have both.
