Thanks Pete. I am excited and a bit overwhelmed. I have never had a camper before and it's a big step. I am not going to be able to leave it in the front driveway like that, so I am going to have to come up with something else soon. I don't want to put it in the side yard because it's grass and I don't want all that moisture to rot the underside. I am thinking about parking it in my parking lot at my office, but I think my landlord will eventually frown on that idea, so it's probably going to have to get stored at a storage place, which I actually am not looking forward to.
You're right Jason,it can seem very overwhelming, but if you just take it slow before you know it the whole thing will be second nature.I'm sure you are going to have a lot of years of good times ahead of you and there will be a very large group of people at RRE to help you on your way
Here it is, I'm going to have to find another way to post it after a few more folks. 23 states, that's friggin amazing. Lets keep it rolling. Look over it, let me know where the changes need to be. Mike, you're still on it so it a done deal.
Well you look like you have a nice place to stay in. That is one of the reasons I don't have one, storage, that and the fact it would get used about 2x a year. Maybe if I got one it would get used more, IDK.
Yeah, the wife has been pushing hard for a camper for a few years. Last year at Smokin' we spent $700+ just to stay at those condo's for 3 nights. If we would have been in the campground with you guys, it would have been like $90. Sure we would have used a little more fuel but not anywhere near $600 worth.
Kelly is very excited as are the kids. Hopefully we will use it at least 6 times a year. I don't have a ton of money in it, so if it turns out we end up not using it, we can get out of it pretty easily. That is by design really. We looked at buying new ones last summer and I just couldn't commit to that big a debt on something we weren't sure we would use. This way, if we get into it, it's big enough to be useful for a while until we get an idea what we really want and need, then we can upgrade and sell this one probably for at least what I have in it, maybe more and then go from there.

Good call. I am sure you will enjoy it. I enjoyed staying in Brandon's last year. You will be on site.
Well, I bought a used 30 foot Aljo travel trailer today. It's pretty nice. It needs a good cleaning on the outside. Kelly did a once over cleaning on the inside and everything seems to be working as far as refrigerator, air conditioner(ducted), etc. My mother has a steam cleaner that sanitizes so we are going to hit all the bedding and couches with it.
The leveling jacks are messed up so I am going to have to see if I can salvage them, but overall it's a nice unit and I got it for an absolute steal. Here are some pics:
I have an idea Jason...you can store it with me...I'll only live in it for a little while...i promise....hehehehe
My TT is/ was gutted by the previous owner and I'm enjoying putting walls back in it...that's right, i said walls...hahaha...

I had the chance today to stop in at the local Dealership and talk to them about donating some stuff for the Event. I talked to the owner himself, and he told me that he would help us out however he could. He told me to just let him know as it got closer ,I hope he will trough in lots of cool stuff for us......FREE stuff I love it...
Jason, it looks great, almost the same setup as mine, a big congrats.. Another option where its soggy on your side yard, Put a couple tons of stone where you want to park it, I have that and all's good.. Jacob, great to hear your coming, and Mike, I really do hope you make it, gotta have yaa there.
Jason great to see you got a camper man I am sure you and the family will enjoy it. Then ina few years you could start to upgrade to a bigger and newer one. Can't wait to see you and your family again this year man .
Thanks JD, we are pumped about then camper and we are looking forward to seeing you and Brandy again. The kids are as excited as I am, and Kelly is a close runner-up.
Mike, the stone idea is a good one. The minimum 360 dollars a year that I will spend on storing it off-site would make the stone and landscaping expenditure worth it. Hmmmmm.
