Stocker vs stroker
I got a set of d3's that have a fresh valve job on them(stock size valves) and worked over ports.Will these heads be able to support a 503cid big block?
My block is only a two bolt main block(d1ve-a2a)will the two bolt mains handle the stroker or will i have to four bolt it?
The scat stroker kit that im looking at uses the 9000 series cast crank,which will be fine for a low rpm motor like mine.But should i go with hypernetectic pistons or forged?
And finally when i entered all the measuments in a compression ratio calculator using 95cc chambers i got 10.3 with flat tops and 8.9 with dished pistons.8.9 seem a little low and 10.3 seems a little high so what would you guys do?
The motor is going in a 4x4 truck so its all about the low down power.this motor will probably never see north of 4500 rpm if it means anything.
