I need help
I have posted a couple of threads over the past few weeks about an oil leak. I went ahead and removed an oil filter adapter/cooler that was on my '88 F150 with an '89 FI 460 motor. Now when looking at the place on the block where the FL-1A filter should screw on, I see a 1 1/4" nut that has threads on the inside that the old adapter screwed into. This female threaded area is the same diameter as what threads into the oil filter. I went to ford, and they sold me an adapter that is supposed to screw into the block, but I can't remove the nut I just spoke of. I just want to find a pipe that will screw into the block, to put a filter on, and call it good. Does any body know where I could find a threaded pipe to do this??????
