Has anybody changed the signal switch in an 1977 f-150? I was told that it was easier to replace the whole column, but all I have are 2 79 columns. Would they work?
very easy to do. pull the steering wheel, unscrew the switch, unplug the plug under the column.
pull the switch up, and cut the wires close to the switch.
now unpin the wires from the plug on the new switch, and tape the wires for the new switch to the cut wires, and gently pull them down through the column. screw the new switch in place, put the wire pins in their proper place in the plug, plug it in, and put the steering wheel back on.
