splicing fuel line

Can the rubber fuel line that comes off of the fuel rail be safely spliced? Mine got a hole melted in it and just wondering if that would be an okay fix.

Replace the line. It is not worth putting your or others lives in jeopardy.

There are made for rubber fuel lines safe fittings but you need special tool to fit it and no reason to purchaise them for one deal. It is cheapper to replace fuel line and not to worry that fuel may leak and cause fire.
